FOR THE MONTH – March 2018

OUR CONTACT NUMBERS FOR 24/7 ASSISTANCE:

OFFICE / OPS ROOM – 011 791-7917 / 082 411-2011 (All Hours)

Remember our Gate Buddy device (R1395.00 installed, alarm linked members only). This will alert us of any unauthorized breach at your entrance gate as well as warn us of a potential hi-jacking if your gate is open for longer than normal.

Gate motor theft is becoming a concern in most areas…the Gate Buddy will assist in preventing this.

Please remain vigilant when out in the street or even driving. Vehicles are targeted at robots and opportunistic crimes occur while people are walking in the street.

Please remember that VAT has increased by 1 % as of 1 April 2018. This will affect your fees by this amount.

Have a Safe month!

Success Stories

With the heavy rain experienced over the last month, we had to intervene and unblock many roads by cutting up fallen trees.

Our Response Team in the RRVA area arrested 2 street robbery suspects and recovered a stolen cell phone which was robbed from a schoolboy just after he started walking home from school.

Area specific incidents

HONEYDEW PRECINCT:
RANDPARKRIDGE (RRVA area):

A fair month with regard to crime. We had a child robbed of his cell phone outside the Randpark Primary school and we managed to arrest 2 of the 3 suspects and recover the cell phone.

RPRCPA:

No incidents reported this month.

WELTEVREDENPARK/RANDPARKRIDGE (Welridge & Riverwel areas)

Crime related a very good month with little crime reported.

We assisted in cutting up several trees which fell and blocked roads.

Opportunistic crime is on the increase so stick to basics and don’t walk alone in the street, etc. Ensure your car is locked when not attended and that items are hidden out of site.

BROMHOF/BOSKRUIN:

Crime was low but we had a few motor vehicle accidents to contend with and most were drunk drivers.

The picture on the left is illegal boards removed during the month.

SONNEGLANS:

A good month with no crime reported

LINDEN PRECINCT:
MALANSHOF, MORET, FONTAINBLEAU, RUITERHOF

We had opportunistic crimes during the power outages where criminals took advantage of alarm batteries which had run down and the break-ins were not detected until the residents returned from holiday or outings.

COMPLEXES:
Nothing to report.
